Walk more.
Beat your friends.
Turn everyday walking into a friendly rivalry. Challenge your friends, family or work crew, and find out who really walks the most.
Your first challenge in two minutes
No new habits to learn. You already carry the step counter. Step Up adds the rivals.
Pick a challenge
Most steps in a week. First to 100,000. Most kilometres this month. You choose the rules and the end date.
Send one link
Drop the invite in your group chat. Friends tap it, and they are in the challenge.
Walk and watch the board
Open the app and your steps sync. We tell you when someone passes you.
Three ways to compete
Short and fierce, or long and steady. Up to you and your crew.
Most steps
The most steps by the end date wins. Perfect for a work week or a long weekend.
Race to goal
The first person to hit the target wins. Set 50,000, 100,000, or any number you dare.
Most km
Count distance, not steps. Take longer strides.
Built for friendly rivalry
Everything you need to keep each other moving.
A live board, and plenty of banter
See who is ahead right now. Post a status, send a message, and watch the feed fill up.
Daily goal and streak
Set your own daily target. Hit it, and your streak grows.
The big reveal
When a challenge ends, everyone finds out who won at 9am the next morning. Together.
Winners Circle
Win a challenge and wear the orange halo. Everyone will see it.
Share the win
Turn the final standings into an image for your story or the group chat.
Steps you can trust
A challenge is only fun if the score is real. So we check every total before it counts.
Joining a challenge and syncing your watch
Got an invite link?
Open it on your phone. If you don't have Step Up yet, install it first, then tap the link again to join.
Wear a watch? It still counts.
If your watch saves steps to Apple Health or Health Connect, Step Up reads them from there. Open the app to sync.
How syncing worksQuestions
Is Step Up really free?
Yes. No ads, no paywall and no subscription.
Which phones work?
iPhones with the Health app and Android phones with Health Connect.
Do my friends need the same phone as me?
No. iPhone and Android friends can be in the same challenge.
Why are my steps not showing?
Open Step Up and wait for "Synced". If your steps still do not show, work through Sync help.
Who can see my steps?
Only the people in the challenges you join.
What if I forget to open the app?
Step Up counts your steps when you open it. Open it every day, ideally before bed. Steps from a day you never open the app do not count.
